Advanced imaging technology is invaluable when it comes to providing a fast and accurate diagnosis; which in turn leads to a better prognosis and a faster recovery. Our portable ultrasound machine employs non-invasive technology which is ideal for examining your pet’s gastrointestinal system for blockages as well as for scanning vital organs such as kidneys, spleen, heart, liver and the abdominal cavity. In some cases, we may also bring in a specialist ultrasonographer to perform a full heart or abdominal scan.

At Vets on Balwyn, ultrasounds are a day procedure, so your pet will be admitted in the morning and discharged in the afternoon.
